Origin, Electronic Arts’ digital distribution service, is now coming to Mac.

Peter Moore took the stage today at EA’s gamescom press conference to reveal that Origin will open up shop for the Mac owning kids out there. Other platforms, like Android and Facebook, are also getting some digital love soon.

More says that Origin has more than 500 games from over 50 partners. Achievements are coming, too. Sounds like some other service.

Ooh, put some non-game software on there next!

In related news, upcoming game SimCity will also see a Mac version. It will come as a digital download early next year on…Origin.
