Game|Life — Wired’s foray into talk of gaming as more than an obscure art movement on par with Dadaism or Pogs — has just posted an interview with Gail Simone, writer of GameTap’s new animated look at the young life of Ms. Lara Croft. Topics covered include non-mammarial character traits, removing the “lolita” from the “loli”, and future expansion of the franchise in the one direction that Eidos has yet to monetarily sodomize.
Of course, reimagining Ms. Croft — a character as defined by her ample breasts as by her words (Pop Quiz: how many of you can picture her nude, and how many of you can hear her voice within your own mind?) — isn’t an easy task, especially when you have the conflicting demands of gamers adherent to the canon of a video game series that uses story as a convenient excuse for multiple outfit changes. Based on what we’ve seen though, and from what what Ms. Simone says regarding the series, she’s seems up the to task.
