Find out what we’re doing differently this year

Destructoid has begun internal voting on all of our end of the year awards for 2013. On top of Game of the Year, we have a total of 21 categories this year.

Nominations will be revealed the week of December 16, and winners will be announced on December 23. This time around there will be ten nominees in each category as opposed to just five as in years past.

More importantly, each of our categories will have a community voting section so every one of you can have a chance to have your voice heard. Community choice winners will be revealed right alongside the main award reveals throughout the day on December 23.

Lastly, next week you can expect a giant list of all the major 2013 releases that you can vote against too, plus a series of articles where we ask you to tell us your favorite various moments from the releases of the year.

We heard what you had to say about our awards process last year, and we want you as involved as possible with what you’re doing this time around. And hey, let’s start the fun early by telling us what your favorite games were that came out in 2013.
