Game Informer reveals EA’s entry into the survival horror ring: Dead Space

Game Informer’s Web site has posted the cover of their October issue, which features an image of EA’s new survival horror title Dead Space.

Their October exclusive cover story will reveal details on the game that is supposedly inspired by cult-classic film Event Horizon. The cover says “In the far reaches of space, humanity brings to light a forgotten alien scourge. Can one man cut through the darkness?”

It’s great to see EA getting in on the genre that’s making Capcom (and maybe Konami) so much money, not to mention their focus on new properties and original work. Besides, the whole concept of an Event Horizion-inspired game sounds a match made in horror heaven. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing more details on this title.
