Game Debate to the Death!
Ninja Gaiden VS Devil May Cry

In the last debate, I asked everyone what their favorite Final Fantasy film was, and was pleasantly surprised to not tally up a landslide of votes tonight. This is exactly why I occasionally risk running lopsided polls, because it’s refreshing to be proven completely wrong about your expectations of the general consensus every once in a while. Kind of like back in 2000 and 2004, right? Anyways, below are the far from shutout results:

  • Favorite Final Fantasy movie:
  • 1st: Advent Children (51 votes) — Winner!
  • 2nd: The Spirits Within (37 votes)

For this week, I’m using Magesx‘s game debate submission in the comments from a few weeks ago. I’ve thought of doing Devil May Cry debates before, and I’ve thought of doing Ninja Gaiden debates as well, but I’ve never thought to have the two series face off against each other in one big blood bath.

So for this week, I want to know which series you enjoy more, and what has made it so enjoyable? Is it because one has better gameplay? One is harder than the other? One is too hard? Maybe one game ruined the whole series? Or does the story of one of the two series have more meaning to you? Give it some serious thought, cast your votes, get some button mashing friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner.

Bonus Question: How long did it take you to beat each game you’ve played in the Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden series? It’s bragging rights time!
