Game Debate to the Death! Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker VS Resident Evil 4

Recommended Videos

Last week wasn’t just one of the best debates in a while, it was one of the best debates we’ve ever had here on Dtoid. I remember a few other discussions that ended with a one vote difference, but it hasn’t happened in months. At first the score was dead even, then one side took a monstrous lead that lasted for fifty votes. Just when I had thought this was over, the other game rallied and not only tied it up, but it too took a giant lead. I was astonished as I saw the crown switch hands several times for a climactic finish. Both games and both sides of the debate should be proud for the charismatic support they received, but in the end, here were the results:

  • Resident Evil 4 (70 votes) — Winner!
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee (69 votes)

I really thought Melee would win the gold in the Gamecube debates, but instead we have a very interesting finals match between two story intensive games. Both games helped revive their series, but the similarities end there. It’s hard to compare two games with such drastically different art styles, story content and gameplay mechanics, but that’s exactly what you have to do this week.

Which game do you think is better, and why? Give it some serious thought, get some Gamecube childhood friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner. Then we’ll move on to the Xbox brackets of odd debates.

P.S. One of this week’s Monday Mind Teasers are still unsolved!
