Electronic Arts is bringing G.I. JOE The Rise of Cobra to the Nintendo DS. Don’t believe me? Check out these screens. Yep. They’re totally for the DS version of G.I. JOE The Rise of Cobra. You love them don’t you?
The interesting thing to take from this title is its camera perspective. It’s all top down, gritty G.I. JOE action — the way it was meant to be, I’m sure. There are eleven playable characters — five from COBRA and six from G.I. JOE — and around twenty missions. Wowza!
If I did my job, I have you rolling your eyes right now. But, wait — things aren’t all what they seem. Backbone Entertainment is developing the title. These are the guys that handled Bomberman Live, 1942: Joint Strike, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. They’ve had some stinkers, sure, but I have hope that G.I. JOE The Rise of Cobra might not turn out so bad. We’ll see when it hits this summer.
