Funimation is pulling for Goku’s inclusion in the new Super Smash Bros.

Goku on the Switch again?

Ha! This was jokingly teased roughly a week ago but just started making the rounds.

Following the recent Nintendo Direct where the bombshell of a Super Smash Bros. project on Switch was announced, Funimation tweeted out a little jab, asking Nintendo of America to allow “their boy Goku” to join in — providing an appropriately official looking silhouette.

Goku has technically made one appearance on the Switch already with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2‘s release on the system late last year, so it’s not too big of a stretch! His moveset would also translate pretty damn well, to the point where fans have been making mock command lists for him for years on top of many, many mods.

Yeah, I’d definitely support Goku in Smash even if it was a pipe dream. It would probably catapult Smash further into the stratosphere of competitive gaming if it happened, especially if it was coupled with an announcement of Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch.
