Full PlayStation Network services return this week

Here we go folks, it’s the week you’ve all been waiting for. Sony has announced that full PlayStation Network services, including the ones we care about, will be back online and ready for action this week. It didn’t quite hit its “Before the end of May” goal, but it’s close enough, right?

The PlayStation Store, code redemption, Qriocity, Media Go and in-game purchases are all going to come back, which means PS3 users can finally play Dirt 3 online. Yay!

“We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love,” said Tekken-faced Kaz Hirai. “We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time.”

I’m sure some of you have plans to pick something up from the PS Store as soon as it goes live. Anything your wallet’s been itching for since it went down?
