And finally adds ROBOT HATS!

Frozen Cortex, the sports-esque strategy game from the Frozen Synapse developers, has recently released an Early Access update that focuses almost entirely on the single-player aspect. New modes included in this update are Knockout, a “lose and you’re done” mode, Global Cortex League, which is more of a standard “career” mode, and Random League, which pits the players against randomly generated teams.

The single-player narrative has also been introduced, and continues to unfold between modes. Whether players are in Knockout or Global Cortex League mode, the story will progress, giving players freedom to choose which mode they like best without missing out on the story itself. That’s simply amazing.

Perhaps most importantly, though, are the added customization options. Hats, faces, armor, and HATS have been added, allowing players to customize their team in both single-player and multiplayer. Robot hats? Count me in!

The game is set to release from Early Access this month, and I could not be more excited! And remember: no sports knowledge or passion is required in order to fall in love with Frozen Cortex. It’s just some strategy filling in a tasty strategy burrito.

Oh and there’s also this guy
