The big news of the week was Facebook’s surprising purchase of Oculus VR, the company behind the crowdfunded virtual reality headset Oculus Rift. Naturally, the denizens of the Internet (over)reacted unfavorably, and Minecraft developer Markus “Notch” Persson publicly pulled support as a result of the announcement.

Frog Fractions 2 developer Twinbeard is taking a more proactive approach to the news. Rather than ending development, the studio wants to buy Oculus back from Facebook. Of course, it will need the funding to do so, and with its Kickstarter campaign in full swing, it might as well crowdfund the buyback.

Twinbeard has raised about $44,000 thus far, meaning it only needs $1,999,956,000 more in order to reach the stretch goal. Dig deep!
