Frictional Games’ SOMA is utterly fascinating

And I don’t even really know what it is

I wasn’t alone in thinking the teaser for Frictional Games’ new project — which may or may not be called SOMA — showed real promise. It’s not clear what the game itself will be like, but the universe it’s centered around has captured our imaginations.

Even though I don’t have much patience for drip-fed information, teaser sites, or alternate-reality games normally, damn — this second video is too much. Again, I feel compelled to share. It’s best if you just watch for yourself.

Frictional knows what it’s doing and I’m eager to see where this ends up going.
