Releasing this fall

During its E3 2018 press conference, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls: Blades, a “massive” new first-person RPG built for mobile and playable in landscape or portrait mode. Bethesda’s Todd Howard described it as the team wanting “an experience that we were not finding anywhere else.”

Playing as a Blade, you’ll use melee and spells to dungeon crawl (and fight in outdoor areas, too). There are a few different modes, including an endless roguelike dungeon, an arena in which you can fight other players one on one, and a town builder. You’ll be able to level up your town, upgrade it, decorate it, and attract new NPCs. I’m super on board with that aspect of the game, at least.

Blades is coming this fall to iOS and Android. There will be early access signups over here.
