Free multiplayer maps for Dead Space 2 360/PS3 inbound

Visceral Games is about to remind us that Dead Space 2 has multiplayer in a gracious manner: by throwing free content our way. Specifically, two new multiplayer maps.

The Academy and The Concourse will be available for download as of May 31 on Xbox Live and June 3 on PlayStation Network, says the official Dead Space Facebook account.

I found the multiplayer to be enjoyable, although the notion of more maps sounds mighty appealing; the map count was one of my major qualms originally. Making the new ones free is wise, since fracturing the community between those who pay and everyone else would be silly at this point.
