Free armor and weapon for early Mass Effect 2 PS3 owners

Usually when a once-exclusive game gets brought to a new platform, that version is updated with some added bonuses. This is absolutely the case for Mass Effect 2 on PlayStation 3, and today BioWare revealed another treat. This time, however, it’s not included on the disc.

Anyone who purchases Mass Effect 2 for PS3 on or before February 23 — which is a little more than a month after release — can download the Terminus Armor and M-490 Blackstorm Projector Weapon for free from PlayStation Network. After that, it’ll cost you.

For reference, these items were offered as pre-order incentives for prior versions of Mass Effect 2.
