Foto Showdown is all bout the monsters and the fighting

Foto Showdown is an interesting concept if nothing else, and seems to actually be using the DSi’s cameras in a good way. We’ve heard very little about the game though, but Konami has now revealed two knew walkthroughs that tell us exactly how it works. Basically it’s the concept of Pokemon (collecting monsters) with the concept of Pokemon Snap! (taking pictures).

The top video explains how the pictures collect the creatures and how you can get more and more powerful ones. The video below explains the battle system, which doesn’t seem anymore interesting than your standard battle system. All in all this seems like a cool idea backed up by a game that could keep you interested. Might be a nice addition for Nintendo to steal for the next Pokemon games.
