Last week, The Legend of Korra was the big addition, with special skins and challenges launching on April 2. The vast majority were holding out hope for Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph, the stars of The Last Airbender who wage war on the evil Fire Nation.

Now, on April 9, we can finally play as Aang and his ragtag group of friends, and even use his “bending” abilities in-game. Here is everything you need to know about Fortnite‘s v29.20 update.

Fortnite 29.20 patch notes

Avatar: The Last Airbender Mythic bending abilities

In Nickelodeon’s animated series, Aang is the Avatar, and is able to control all four elements: Water, earth, fire, and air. In Fortnite, you’ll now be able to do it too as the other three join the water Mythic in-game.

The fire Mythic will let you shoot blades of flames at enemies to deal damage, while the air Mythic will allow for faster travel across the map. Finally, the earth Mythic will offer protection, raising up a wall of dirt to give you cover from enemies. You can view the Mythics in action thanks to FNBRintel.

Avatar X Fortnite skins

Of course, no crossover is complete with some cosmetic items, and Avatar is no different. Aang will gets his own mini Battle Pass, where players can unlock two different versions of the Avatar, along with some neat cosmetics including a Momo the Flying Lemur back bling.

Katara and Toph also get skins which are available to purchase, but Sokka is notable by his absence, even though his weapons are included as part of the cosmetic offerings. Instead, we get the Fire Nation’s Prince Zuko. You can take a look at the cosmetics thanks to HYPEX.

The Yacht POI removed

It was only in the game for about three weeks, but The Yacht, which had brought Midas back to the Island from the Underworld, has sailed back into the great unknown.

The massive boat was floating off the side of the map, but if you start swimming out to find it now, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Fortnite Shop and Locker Changes

Epic Games is making changes to how the Fortnite Shop and Locker works, removing tiers and rarities from cosmetic items. It will keep Series tags though, like Icon Series, so you can “find your favorite stuff.” Epic will also be adding the planned date that individual cosmetics will be leaving the Item Shop in late May.

More new items and changes are being discovered, so we’ll continue to update these Fortnite patch notes are more information becomes available.
