When is the Fortnite Super Showdown live event in Chapter 6, season 3?
Fortnite’s Super Showdown event begins at exactly 1:30pm CT on Aug. 2. Since there will likely be lots of players attending, the doors open up a bit sooner at 1:00pm CT to give you ample time to load in early and be ready for the action as soon as the event begins.

What is the Super Showdown event in Fortnite?
The Super Showdown live event is a special combat and story experience that will help close out the main storyline for Chapter Six, season three. If you previously played the Star Wars Galactic Battle season that ended with a tour of the Death Star and a fight against Emperor Palpatine, you have a solid understanding of what to expect here.
So far, we don’t know much about what this event will include other than some kind of big fight. The official teaser for it reads, “Grab your cape, put those hero skills to the test” alongside an image of Superman, Robin, and the Supernova Academy crew engaged in an epic battle with the shadow of something large looming over them.
There’s also a short teaser trailer for this event featuring purple lightning tearing apart Demon’s Domain and a massive, kraken-like creature with a glowing yellow eye emerging from the nearby lake. The teaser image also appears to have a kraken tentacle hovering over the heroes, so it seems like we’ll be facing some kind of sea creature monster in this one.
Based on what’s happened in story quests like The Fall of Supernova Academy and the Trials of Morgan Myst quests, this event will likely follow the heroes as they finally face off with Daigo. This monster likely belongs to him, and defeating it will be key to saving the island from ruin. There’s also a decent chance this event will modify the map a bit before it receives a more drastic rework in the next chapter.
Where is the Super Showdown event in Fortnite?
The Super Showdown event will unfold at Demon’s Domain near the very southern end of the island. This is the area Daigo calls home, so it makes sense that the chaos will occur around here. The nearby lake is also an integral part of this story, as it seems to be where the sea monster emerges from.
Before the event arrives, be sure to tackle some key tasks like favoriting a creator, using Spire Remnants to build a monument to the fallen academy, and finishing all Summer Road Trip missions. These quests won’t be around for much longer, so completing them soon is essential if you don’t want to miss out on XP and special rewards.
