Lest we forget, Fortnite does have an actual gameplay mode that it launched with, one that costs money, one that isn’t battle royale. Though you could be forgiven for forgetting this, fortunately the developers at Epic Games have not and are working on a new batch of content for Save the World.

A new developer diary video looks at some of the content headed toward Save the World 6.10, including a new story update which will return the game to the locale of Canny Valley in order to learn more of Ray’s backstory and return the monster-huntin’ team to its roots. Also on the way is a new time-limited mode which will see the team capture and hold a point against a slew of non-stop enemies.

Matchmaking will also be seeing an overhaul. In Public Matches, difficulty will be decided based on an average ranking taken from all team members, rather than just the team’s host, which should help players of all abilities work together in the same game to achieve their head-splatting goals.

For more info on Save the World 6.10, check out the video below, hosted by the team’s Billy Bramer. Fortnite is available now on PS4, PC Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
