Former senator who was against gun-heavy games pleads guilty to racketeering

Oh, that wacky Leland Yee

Hey, remember former California senator Leland Yee? The guy who said “gamers have no credibility” in the video game violence debate and was arrested a few months back for fraud and gun trafficking? It looks like he just pleaded guilty to one count of racketeering.

Yee has been causing issues in the gaming industry for years, authoring a bill that would prohibit the sale of violent video games to minors with massive fines, and pushing his fear-mongering views to the public. He will face sentencing on October 21, and with his charges, may face up to 20 years in prison.

Who wants to take bets that Yee will show up in a questline in Grand Theft Auto VI?
