Former Pandemic, Obsidian folks working on ‘Necromancer’?

Earlier this year, Calabasas, California developer Killspace Entertainment opened its doors. Made up of former employees of high profile studios like Pandemic, Obsidian, Red 5, and Electronic Arts, its website is currently up and running. The content — presumably a demo reel for prospective publishers and partners — is locked. Its LinkedIn profile says it’s currently working on two titles — an original IP with a major publisher, and a licensed IP.

That’s the old news. The latest is that Killspace has filed a trademark for “Necromancer.” The studio (again, according to its LinkedIn profile) will be focusing on “3rd and 1st Character-focused Action, Horror, and Sci-Fi.” The name “Necromancer” sounds like it could be a great fit for any one of those genres or game styles. Could this be the original title its working on for for the “major publisher”? With so much experience talent at the studio, they’re definitely one to keep an eye on.
