Flinthook brings back the grappling hook this April

I’ve missed you

Lotta release dates to keep track of today, but I don’t mind one bit — not when the game in question is Flinthook, an action-platformer that gives your space pirate a grappling hook and says “Have fun!”

This is the latest project from Tribute Games, who you’ll hopefully know from Ninja Senki, Wizorb, or Mercenary Kings. If not, no biggie. It isn’t too late to brush up on any of this good stuff or just prepare for what’s next. Flinthook is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 18, 2017.

A note on the game’s procedural generation, since I know an over-reliance on that type of approach can be a sticking point: “Each level is special, as ships are procedurally built from hundreds of hand-crafted rooms, modified by various variants, filled with extraordinary treasure and populated by random waves of enemies.” Based on how everything looks in the trailer, I think I can get along with that.
