First Street Fighter IV downloadable content sorta-kinda detailed

Recommended Videos

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed the first images and names of the first batches of downloadable content coming to Street Fighter IV.

The first pack — called the “Muscle Arms Pack” — will hit Japan on February 12, the same day the game hits shelves for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Famitsu shows content coming regularly, through the end of April, in the following order: “Beauty Pack,” “Shoryuken Pack,” “Shadaloo Pack,” “Classic Pack,” and the “All-in-Pack.” And yes, if you’re wondering, they’re all character costume packs.

It won’t be free, either. Famitsu is showing that the PS3 versions of the packs will cost ¥400, while the Xbox 360 versions will cost 320 MS Points (¥473). The final pack listed, the “All-in-Pack” — likely a package of all of the costumes — will cost ¥1200 and 1,000 MS Points (¥1,480) on the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively.

Why the price discrepancy between the PS3 and the Xbox 360? We can’t be too sure, but it’s likely the prices will be evened out before they hit our shores. We’ll reach out to Capcom later in the day to clarify. But in the meantime, you can see the list of packs (and their release dates and pricing) after the jump.

Begin bitching about paying for costumes … now!
