Information is starting to come together for the Batgirl DLC, which will launch as part of the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and on its own for $6.99 (July 14 for the former, July 21 for the latter). Instead of a nebulous “new area” we now know that it will take place in the Seagate Amusement Park, and will deal with Commissioner Gordon, who has been kidnapped by The Joker — as was previously known, it will take place before the events of the core game, and will likely hit a lot of the same notes as The Killing Joke and other established stories.

WB seems to be hyping up the hacking element, stating that Batgirl is “less powerful than batman,” but her hacking is what “really separates her from the other characters.” The Dual Play system is also in, as are collectibles and sidequests — also, Harley Quinn’s classic red and black outfit from The Animated Series.

On paper this sounds pretty alright, but given the track record so far with the two pre-order DLCs, I’m not super hopeful.
