What you’re looking at is MTV Multiplayer’s exclusive gameplay footage of Sidhe Interactive’s Speed Racer title for the Wii, available on May 6 to coincide with the film’s release. So where do we start with this? Well, I think they said it best on the MTV Multiplayer blog: “take a look at Speed Racer yourself and see what you think of the very first gameplay video.” I applaud their professionalism. We’re allowed to say that the game — solely based on the video — looks fast but boring, and the voice acting is atrocious. But hey, it takes advantage of the Wii Wheel, so it could be fun … right? Regardless of the game’s quality (I certainly hope it’s good), this game will sell enough units to justify its release.
