Fire Pro XBLA to see release outside of Japan

Announced at Tokyo Game Show earlier this year, Spike’s popular Fire Pro Wrestling series is set to hit Xbox Live Arcade. There wasn’t much information given about the title outside of a few screenshots, and there was no indication as to whether the game would see a release outside of Japan.

Good news: the game may be getting an international release. While nothing has officially been announced, a rating found on the Australian classification site hints that Japan may not be the only country to be getting the game when it’s released next year.

So here’s the bad news: the game is said to feature Avatar-only wrestling. The Fire Pro series has long been known for its massive move and wrestler list, along with serious character customization options. Limiting it just Avatars seems like it could seriously limit what the game could offer.

Still, the very idea of pounding on those ugly little buggers’ faces in the squared circle is certainly enticing.
