I let out an involuntary “hell yeah!” upon hearing that Fire Emblem for Game Boy Advance is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow, December 4. In fact, I think my body even twisted in excitement for a few seconds there. Thank goodness no one was around to catch that.

For many of us in the West, Fire Emblem was our first exposure to Intelligent Systems’ tactical role-playing series, and good lord was it great. So many fond memories.

The last time I played, I did so almost exclusively using the GameCube’s Game Boy Player add-on instead of a regular ol’ GBA. It’ll be nice to carry on that big-screen tradition with Wii U.

Heeeeeeeelllll yes.
