Nintendo has released details of the next update to its popular pocket battle title Fire Emblem Heroes, which will add new Legendary Hero Leif, the Unifier of Thracia, to its ever-growing roster.

Leif – or to give him his awesome full name Leif Faris Claus – is the protagonist from 1999’s Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, which was released on the Super Famicom via the short-lived “Nintendo Power” service. It later received a boxed release as one of the last ever titles for the 16-bit console.

The headstrong prince is a young warrior driven by pride and determination, equaled only by his self-critical nature and occasional habit of letting anger and ambition cloud his judgment. Leif is skilled in combat with both a longsword and bow-and-arrow and, despite his personality flaws, is a hero you’d certainly want by your side on the battlefield.

Leif Faris Claus will arrive in-game today, October 28 at 00:00 PT and tomorrow, October 29 at 03:00 ET / 07:00 BST. Fire Emblem Heroes is available now on iOS and Android devices.
