Final version of Wasteland 2 likely delayed into September

The delay is due to manufacturing physical versions

Another day, another delay. It turns out that Wasteland 2 will be likely be missing the August launch date for a release in the first half of September instead. An update on the game’s Kickstarter page revealed the delay is due to “fulfillment of the physical goods and discs.” Discs? Who buys PC games at retail these days? To be fair, one of Wasteland 2‘s Kickstarter backer rewards was a boxed edition of the game and I think that’s the culprit here.

I’ve been playing Wasteland 2 for a few months now, albeit in an unfinished state, but it’s been full-featured, largely bug-free, and fun to play. With Wasteland 2 being for sale in Steam’s Early Access section, people have been playing the game for a while now, so does having to wait a few more weeks for a “Version 1.0” really matter?
