Final Fantasy XIV could still come to Xbox One, possibly NX

Jury is out

The ability to play Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the PC, PS3, and PS4 platforms, and have them all coexist together on the same servers, is wonderful — and conversely, a sorely missed feature in Elder Scrolls Online.

According to Dualshockers, Square Enix is still in talks with Microsoft to potentially bring the game to Xbox One, but the company is having issues with the fact that it’s cross-play with Sony platforms. The game’s lead producer Noaki Yoshida has said in the past that if they can’t negotiate cross-play, the deal is off the table. When asked about the Nintendo NX, Yoshida noted that it was possible, but they’d have to wait until it was actually released to judge. It seems as if Yoshida is open to negotiate at that time.

Anything to get what I consider the best MMO currently on the market to more platforms, is a great thing.
