Basically, Final Fantasy VII is coming out. The big problem is it’s only Advent Children on Blu-Ray. According to FinalFantasyIII.net, Advent Children: Complete will hit retailers next March, with a playable demo of FFXIII right out of the box. The information was relayed at Square’s DKΣ3713 thing in Japan.
A few trailers will also be included in the two disc Advent Children release, including one for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and the PSP release of Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The entire set will be in glorious HD, so you can see Cid’s mouth muscles twist as he smokes his cigarette. The price of the package has yet to be confirmed.
Obviously, the demo will only be playable on the PlayStation 3, so score one for the guys that thought they were abandoned in favor of Microsoft. Personally, I’m not a big fan of having to buy movies to play demos, but Square Enix has this particularly nasty habit of making me excited about their upcoming releases. Will any of you be picking this up for just the demo, or do you love Advent Children enough to buy it again anyway?
