Final Fantasy VII Remake development explored in new video series

Square Enix has released the first part of an episodic documentary series looking at the development of its upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. The series is appropriately titled Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake, and the first chapter, “Introduction,” can be watched below.

The series will feature interviews with a slew of important figures in the creation of this important title, a remake of what a lot of video game fans consider one of the greatest releases of all time. The series will talk to these key individuals about recreating the characters, music, and world of Final Fantasy VII, taking important moments from the history of gaming and reinventing them for a whole new generation of fans.

The series will include insight from director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase, writer Kazushige Nojima, and co-directors of design and scenario Naoki Hamaguchi and Motomu Toriyama.

Final Fantasy VII Remake launches on PS4 April 10. If you want to catch a sneak peek of the action, a demo is still available to download from the PlayStation Network.
