Complete Final Fantasy Resonance character tier list

To separate the eight available characters, I have used three different tiers.

  • S-tier choices are the most powerful ones to use, all thanks to their in-game abilities.
  • A-tier choices are powerful, but you have to focus on equipping the correct Visions.
  • B-tier choices are alright options as long as you properly manage to build them up.

S-tier

CharacterReason
RainSquare Enix made things a bit obvious by making Rain the best attacker. While his attacking stats are ‘broken’, his health and defensive stats are also impressive. Once you unlock The Power Within, he becomes overpowered by boosting all stats by 25%.
SakuraSakura takes a long time to unlock, but I have thoroughly enjoyed using her. She is arguably the best magic attacker you can get, and she offers a lot of damage potential. She can also buff herself with abilities like Concentrate and covers three different elements.
NicholNichol’s Fluid Warfare skill is extremely overpowered as it allows him to take an extra turn with the use of his Formation Skills. You can combine this with Firion’s Arms Akimbo and get up to four actions in a single turn.

A-tier

CharacterReason
FinaFina might be in A-tier, but she will be one of your most important characters. She is easily the best support character in the game and offers a high Sanctity stat. She can apply plenty of buffs to her teammates. While you can also do a fair bit of damage, I would rely on her mostly for her supporting role.
LasswellWhile Lasswell is an excellent character in his own right, he is behind Rain in terms of power. This is the main reason why he is in the 8 tier and not S. Despite having better attacking stats, his health, and defense are lower than Rain’s. He does not have any ability that comes close to The Power Within.
LidWhile Lid might feel average, she is a great all-rounder. I found her to be easy to use, and you can have complete freedom when it comes to her build. Unfortunately, she does not have that unique ability and stat distribution that could have made her go above

B-tier

CharacterReason
JakeDespite being the best at physical attack, Jake is let down by his luck mechanic. If you are someone who loves to play with RNG, Jake will be a really fun character to use. However, his luck stat makes things unreliable, which puts him at a disadvantage.
Archwitch FinaFirst, she is one of the hardest characters to unlock in the game, which reduces her usability. While she has powerful attacks like Ultima and Meteor, I still have not managed to figure out her exact role in a team. Perhaps spending more time with her could help her gain a tier or two.
