Final Fantasy III is now also a PSP game

Did you miss Final Fantasy III on the DS or on iOS? Maybe you can give it another go on the PSP, as Square Enix has just announced this new version. Andriasang says it’s based of the DS game, with some additions from the iOS version. In the PSP retooling you can expect 16×9 support, a new gallery mode, optional NES soundtrack mode, and a double speed battle switch.

For now, this is only a Japanese release. It drops on September 29 for ¥3,990 on UMD. Hopefully Square Enix will take care of us and localize it. The work there is already done, so all they’ll need to do is drop it in. (I know it’s not that easy.)

The new official webpage has a new trailer and a downloadable wallpaper available.
