Chock-full of artwork and scenario documents
I found an interesting e-mail from CD Japan in my inbox this morning. Apparently, Square Enix has “spontaneously” released a limited edition series of books called Final Fantasy 25th Memorial Ultimania containing artwork and scenario documents to celebrate Final Fantasy’s 25th anniversary.
The details about exactly what’s featured are scarce, but according to a brief description from CD Japan, “very rare background setting materials” are included, some of which has been unreleased until now. The series spans three volumes, with the first covering Final Fantasy through VI, the second VII through IX, and the third X through XIV. The Yoshitaka Amano artwork featured on the cover of each certainly has me interested… and I’m tempted to pick up at least volume 1.
