FFXV collab returns to FFXIV with another chance at the Regalia Type-G Mount

Somnus intensifies

Final Fantasy XIV welcomes Noctis back to Eorzea with the Final Fantasy XV collaboration event, A Nocturne for Heroes. Like other recurring events, the FFXIV x FFXV collab always comes with the same quests and rewards, but this one is particularly popular as it offers FFXIV’s first-ever four-person mount.

This is the third time the FFXV-focused event has been available, with its return scheduled for February 28, 2024. From the end of this month until March 13, you’ll have a shot at cleaning up old quests, starting the experience fresh, or just revisiting one of many series crossovers.

Before now, players have been able to complete A Nocturne for Heroes in both 2019 and 2021. Now, after three years, it’s returning for new players, or those who simply never managed to complete the quest before, offering them the chance to meet Noctis and aid him in the battle against Magitek.

You get a car, and you get a car

As always, A Nocturne for Heroes will come with the sought-after rewards from previous years:

  • Regalia Type-G (Mount)
    • 200,000 MGP at the Gold Saucer
  • Lucian Prince’s Attire
  • Modern Aesthetics – Lucian Locks

There are also a number of Orchestrion Rolls to be gained through completing the event quests and the Noctis Lucis Caelum Triple Triad Card. While the card is always at the Gold Saucer, even when the event ends, FFXIV drastically cuts the MGP price down as long as A Nocturne for Heroes is running.

If this is your first time completing the event, head to Ul’dah – Steps of Nald and find Kipih Jakkya (X8.5 Y9.7). She’ll send you off with a quest titled “A Man in Black,” which will lead you to your first meeting with Noctis.

If you’ve already completed the event, you can’t gain the rewards again (outside of purchasing what you may have missed), but you can take part in the festivities by talking to Kipih and making use of the Seasonal Event Replay Feature. Square Enix also warns you that you should make sure to finish the Event Replay quest before the event period ends, or it’ll lock you out of the item exchange.
