You will come across this area in the Through the Swamplands Main Scenario quest in Chapter 2. Barret’s Fafnir Rifle weapon is obtained from completing the Pursuit of Perfection side quest in the Gongaga Region. More specifically, if you visit the Gongaga Village Community Board upon reaching Gongaga, you can pick up and complete this quest. The entire side quest is dedicated toward getting the materials for a weaponsmith to make Barret this weapon.
