FC 27 has been revealed, and this year there will be three different versions available for us to choose from. This is in stark contrast to how it has worked in the past, when EA Sports has released just two separate editions.
The big topic of discussion has been the Ultimate Plus Edition, which is priced at a pretty high amount. It does offer plenty of extra bonuses that could be well worth the additional money that is spent.
In this guide, I will go through what all the available editions have to offer. I will also discuss whether you should get or avoid the Ultimate Plus Edition.

FC 27 is available in three different editions:

As I mentioned, all three editions are available at different price points, and the content they offer is also pretty contrasting.
Standard

Is FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition worth it
Until last year, it was easy to decide which edition you should buy. The Standard Edition was always a great option if you were on a lesser budget and if you had no fascination with Ultimate Team. The Ultimate Edition has always been worth it for those who love to join the year-round grind. You get plenty of FC points, an additional evolution slot, and other goodies that will provide you with a head start.
I’ve always felt that the advantages are not groundbreaking, but you do save a lot of money if you wanted to get all the extra offerings separately. I have always been a fan of the extra evolution slot as well, since I love to upgrade my lower-rated cards.
The Ultimate Plus Edition is $50 higher than the Ultimate Edition. You will get an extra 4,000 FC points, but it will take two more months to reach them. You will also have 4 additional premium passes, and you won’t need to worry about the first five seasons.
Each season pass requires $10 worth of FC points, or 500,000 FUT coins. Getting so many coins in the early phases of the game is very difficult. You also get a bonus Hall of FUT Player Pick, which has several options.
For what it offers, I believe that the Ultimate Plus edition is worth it. If you are someone who will play Ultimate Team throughout the year, you should spend the extra $50. The amount of FC points you get will help you enjoy plenty of great evolutions if you choose not to spend on packs.
The four extra premium passes would normally cost you $40 if you purchase them separately. For a little more, you are getting 4,000 extra FC points.
The options available for the Hall of FUT Player Pick are not overpowered, but I really love how the Loïc Remy item looks.
If you are someone who is casual or who hasn’t been a hardcore FC player in the past, I will recommend you avoid spending the extra money. If you are someone like me who has over 1,000 hours a year, spending the extra amount will be worth it eventually. That said, I still firmly believe that the Ultimate Edition offers the best bang for your buck.
