I’m glad a sequel to Phantasy Star Portable is coming. There has been rumblings on the game since early this month, but now we have some solid details on the upcoming PSP role-playing title.
This week’s Famitsu says that PS2P takes place 3 years after the first game. More importantly, the sequel will bring back ad-hoc multiplayer, but will add an infrastructure online mode for real multiplayer action. Now, that’s not to say that this title will come out in the US, and if it does, there’s a decent chance that the infrastructure part could be stripped. We’ll keep our hopes up.
The folks at vgchartz says that the game wil feature an online lobby and chat modes, as well.
We’ll look forward to more details as they come down the line. TGS is next month, so I’d guess we’ll get to see more of this title there.
