Fallout 76 team shares list of deadliest enemies, upcoming patch plans

The Extra Crispy Scorchbeast is…well, a beast

In case you missed it, Bethesda is rolling out a new battle royale mode for Fallout 76, which is currently being shown in trial form before the big rollout. It’s called “Nuclear Winter,” and it heralds the second major free expansion for the game, which is partially meant to tide you over until Bethesda adds NPCs into 76 and allows it to become what it should have been in the first place.

In the meantime the top five deadliest creatures for the mode include the Extra Crispy Scorchbeast, Glowing Mirelurk Hunters, Mutant hounds, regular Mirelurkers (damn them) and the Feral Ghoul Stalker. Bethesda also notes that while nearly 90,000 players have been killed by creatures, almost 70,000 deaths have been from people falling off cliffs. The most deaths from a single nuke has been 18, and the combat shotgun is the most-used weapon in the final throes of the match.

In other more campaign-relevant news, Bethesda is dropping a patch tomorrow (10.5). The aforementioned Nuclear Winter mode will allow more customization options for your avatar, as well as the chance to embark upon daily quests (which were toggled off during the beta). Bug fixes are also incoming (when are they not!) for all modes, including battle royale and adventure (PVE) as well as survival (PVP). Bethesda says that the patch after that will include “a large wave of bug fixes.” The grind never ends.
