Falling Stars, an RPG made just for me, I mean uh … young girls

I’m coming clean here — if there’s one genre that has always frightened me, it’s the RPG. The complexity of their narratives and, in some cases, their gameplay has always put me off. Well thank God for Lithuanian developer Ivolgamus and their upcoming PC and PlayStation 2 role-playing game, Falling Stars

Created with children in mind (and more to the point, little girls, it appears), Falling Stars guides players through the world of Dazzleon, a land of mysteries and pastels that would make Queer Eye‘s Carson Kressley blush. In addition to the game’s main story (which contains the ambiguous “many hours” of gameplay), players will also have to train their pets (poniez, OMG!), dress their character in unique outfits, participate in exciting mini-games, and battle poopy-headed monsters.

With exciting mini-games that appear to include archery and vacuuming a room, Falling Stars has made its way to the top of my “Most Wanted” list for 2007. Looks like I’m going to have to cancel my Mass Effect reservation …
Uncover the mysteries of Dazzleon …

Fighting evil and protecting the innocent has never been this fun!

Falling Stars is a role-playing game aimed at children, and features an engrossing story with many hours of gripping gameplay. As the player solves the mysteries of Dazzleon, they must train their own pet, dress their character in an assortment of unique outfits, participate in seven exciting mini-games, and battle deadly monsters.

Falling Stars is a visual feast, as the world and characters are brightly coloured and beautiful to see in motion. The world of Dazzleon is incredibly detailed and there is a definite ‘feel-good’ atmosphere that can be noticed just wandering through the world. Butterflies gently flutter around forests, autumn leaves drop rhythmically from orange trees, and stunning waterfalls add even more to the ambience and mood in this magical world.

Falling Stars features everything needed to keep a younger audience entertained and engaged, and is certainly worth waiting for. It is due to be released in August by Ivolgamus.
