In recent times, there’s been a lot of commotion about legitimate games being ripped off and put up for sale on the App Store by vile fiends. I’m happy to report another pleasing conclusion to one such case. iCoder’s counterfeit Lugaru has been removed from the Mac App Store.
“We’re not sure who took it down, or what will happen to the customers who were tricked into buying the fake copy, or the money they paid for it,” writes Jeffrey Rosen on the Wolfire Games Blog. “We still haven’t heard anything from Apple.”
Wolfire is making the best out of a bad situation — and this is why I adore these guys — by giving Lugaru HD and a Steam key to customers who were duped into purchasing the faux version. You need simply forward your receipt to contact [at] wolfire [dot] com. Much love.
