Fairies are finally flying into The Sims 4

It's about time.

There are many different occults you can play as in The Sims 4, but the big one that has been missing since launch is Fairies. After years of waiting, Fairies have officially been confirmed and are expected to arrive fairly soon with a new pack release in the coming months.

During the Hotties Play The Sims livestream that aired on May 30, a short teaser featuring a tiny house was shared right near the end of the broadcast. It’s a pretty small moment, but the implications are massive when combined with all of the other teasers the Sims team has been dropping.

In The Sims 3: Supernatural, all Fairies can freely use fairy houses to throw parties, sleep, eat, and take care of just about any other needs they have. These houses are all miniature-sized and perched on top of tree logs. They look pretty much identical to the one featured in the short teaser for The Sims 4, and the clip also highlights the return of the house party feature as music is coming from inside while the house shakes around just like it did in The Sims 3.

We’re due for a new pack sometime soon since the most recent one, which was Businesses & Hobbies, launched on March 6. It’s unknown whether we’ll be getting an expansion pack, game pack, or stuff pack next, though. Most occults have dedicated game packs, like Vampires and Werewolves, but Ghosts arrived as part of Life & Death, so it’ll likely be one of these two pack types.

In addition to the video teaser, there’s also a website that’s receiving consistent updates with new teasers for the upcoming Fairy-related pack. This website is called Something is growing, and so far it features a green landscape with a gnome, some fruits, and a quaint cottage.

This website also mentions getting lost in “natural living” and has a description that reads, “You wake up under the stars and see other Sims meeting their needs outdoors without beds or plumbing. You’re hungry, but you spot some delicious-looking mushrooms by a tree. Looks like you’ll sustain yourself just fine.”

If you click over to the second page of the website, a town named Innisgreen is revealed. This is expected to be the name of the world in the upcoming pack. This page mentions living in “harmony with nature” and “a grove where nature and civilization blend together” with “an enchanting magical forest.”

So far, these are the only official details for the upcoming pack. But there are also several leaks providing some potential extra information about what the next pack will look like. None of this has been confirmed by The Sims team, so take all of it with a grain of salt.

Back on May 20, Instant Gaming posted a leak for a pack called Enchanted by Nature. This potential leak has since been removed, but this website also leaked past packs like For Rent and Life & Death ahead of their release, so they do have a solid track record so far.

This leak includes some key pack details, and Fairies are by far the biggest one. The description also mentions a Natural Living skill, Ailments, Apothecary, and Naturopathy. This alleged pack has a strong focus on nature and surviving anywhere in the world with only what’s around you.

According to the pack leak, Fairies can lean into being mischievous and grant Sims Ailments or choose to focus on nature and build gardening-related abilities. There are no other details about what powers Fairies have, but it sounds like they’ll probably have a skill tree similar to the one most occults have.

The teaser that aired during the livestream also revealed that a trailer is scheduled for June 12, so we’ll learn much more about this upcoming release then.
