F1 2010 patch forthcoming, corrupt save issue possibly solved

Recommended Videos

Well, that was certainly quick: after a meeting this morning at Codemasters HQ, a patch for F1 2010 has been announced to be in the works. Right now, the development team is currently investigating, going through feedback and looking at reported issues, so we don’t have a timetable for when this will be released. However, it’s very nice to read that they’re taking care of some of the issues affecting the game.

Also, you might remember from our review of the game that there was a nasty glitch which liked to eat saves. It is related to doing R&D in practice and there’s now a potential workaround for that, too. The solution seems to be as follows: after going through a practice where you do a R&D session, do not quit to the paddock when you finish, but go on to qualifying. Codemasters have said this will be addressed in the patch as well, so the workaround should only be temporary.
