Hasbro has no problem whoring itself out to whatever company is willing to lend a license. Gone is the pot-bellied nudist of the classic Operation, discharged to make way for the likes of Shrek, Homer Simpson, and f*ckin’ Mater from Cars. So you figure, with Hasbro’s sticking its Charlie Horse into every stranger’s Bread Basket, one of these unholy unions would produce something truly special. No such luck.
Behold, Operation: Guts Man Edition! Everybody’s favorite toy customizer Kodykoala has taken an Iron Man Operation board, showed Tony Stark the door, and substituted a Jazwares Guts Man vinyl figurine. He painted the whole shebang up to give it his signature worn-and-rusted look, then he whipped up some custom play money and instruction cards, stamped with Wily’s insignia, of course. And it just so happens that Guts Man has a red bulb on his chest, the perfect spot for the Operation buzzer!
