When we met with BugBear at E3 to get a sneak peek at Ridge Racer Unbounded, the end of their presentation teased some kind of online component where creation and sharing of custom tracks and cities. I was sold. Now they’ve finally taken the lid off this mode in this exclusive Create or Destroy trailer.
As we had hoped, you’ll be able to create your own cities and tracks, and then share them with everyone else in the world. The best part is that you’ll be able to drive on all of these custom creations online, going up against everyone else. Add in the game’s destruction mechanic and you have a system were someone like you will make a city and then someone like me will come in and jack it all up. Lovely! I’d be more than happy to plow thorough the walls and buildings that you’ve carefully created, winning your race and making you look silly on your own turf.
Our team will get to try out the Ridge Racer Unbounded‘s City Creator at Gamescom next week to see just how easy it is to make a city of their own. We hear that the community aspects of the game are going to be pretty extensive, so I hope the team will also get a good look at that. Stay tuned.
