Here it is, the first trailer for Skullgirls, an upcoming 2D fighter from Autumn Games and Reverge Labs for “high-definition consoles” in 2011. So, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
It looks suitably ridiculous, and silky smooth as far as the animation is concerned. Especially the part where the girl’s hair turns into an octopus that squeezes another character. That actually happened, guys.
I’m fairly certain Skullgirls is being shown off at GDC — hey, that’s going on right now! — so don’t even think about closing your browser in favor of doing something crazy like being productive. It’ll also be playable at PAX East — booth #750.
