With erroneous rumors circulating that DICE’s upcoming first-person action platformer Mirror’s Edge would be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, a few of you may be wondering what’s going on. Thankfully, Sony has cleared things up with Eurogamer

“There was a misunderstanding,” a spokesperson told them. “PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with [Electronic Arts] regarding his title.”

This likely mean we’ll be seeing a lot of PlayStation 3-branded Mirror’s Edge commercials, trailers, and posters. But there’s more: the spokesperson also revealed that the PS3 will be getting exclusive downloadable content via the PlayStation Network.

It seems like this is just another reason for those of us who have multiple consoles to play it on the PS3; DICE has been forthcoming in revealing that Sony’s console has been the lead development SKU for title. It looks like all of this is pointing to the PS3 have the uh, edge, when it comes to Mirror’s Edge.

Yeah, that was bad, wasn’t it? Oh, and for you PC gamers, hit the jump for the min specs for Mirror’s Edge via bit-tech.
