As a kid, I was lucky to have parents who showed me things that came before my time. One such medium was Hanna-Barbera cartoons. I watched hours upon hours of Hong Kong Phooey, Snagglepuss, and Wacky Races alongside of contemporary cartoons like Dexter’s Laboratory.
So when I saw ex-Rare concept artist Wil Overton’s “Metroid Busters” mock-up art on Twitter, all of the nostalgia came rushing back. How I wish this was real.
