EVO is officially allowing DualShock 4 controllers this year

Good news for pad players

Recommended Videos

Traditionally, DualShock 4 controllers have been questionable at EVO because of the complications with Bluetooth. But after many community members have asked for it, they’re allowing them again in 2016. There are going to be strict rules in place (like unpairing your controller following a match) that will enforce disqualifications though.

According to a number of FGC members on Twitter, a lot of the pad users were interested in using them specifically for Mortal Kombat X. While sticks are the go-to method you usually see when watching tournies, there are a lot of successful pad players out there who will be happy to hear this news.
